About Us

The Virginia Association of Minority PAs is a state organization committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive Virginia Physician Associate (PA) workforce representing the diverse communities they serve to improve patient health care outcomes. 

• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the PA profession

• Provide educational resources about health care disparities for PAs, PA students, Pre-PA students

• Provide mentorship for underrepresented minority PAs, PA students, and Pre-PAs

Virginia Association of Minority PAs was founded in 2023 by Dr. Kimberly Sapre who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to increasing diversity within the PA profession. Since then, we have grown into an organization providing resources and mentorship to PAs, PA students, and pre-PA students in Virginia and surrounding regions.

Our Board of Directors consists of volunteer PAs and a PA student who are dedicated to VAMPA's mission and purpose.
